• I was responsible for managing 20 employees.• I had responsibility for the business management processes, strategic planning, budgeting and program reporting.• I have been responsible for the development of Cooperation agreements, major contracts which were very focused on mitigating risks and understanding responsibilities and being clear with deliverables with the Department of Health (Mental Health, ehealth), DHS, ACSQHC, DVA, OAIC, GPET, ASHQC, TGA, NeHTA & Uni of Melbourne.

Reporting to the MSLE Faculty General Manager, the Heads of the three MSLE departments and the UoM Commercial Ltd (UoMC) Commercial Engagement Manager. Tasked to develop, promote and implement opportunities to increase the level of industry engagement. Measured by increased success in research grants, commercial services and professional and executive education teaching contracts and consultancies.

• Development and delivery of DPI Investment Prioritisation Workshop, which involved development of templates, business cases, processes for submission and working with unlinked businesses across research based disciplines, energy resources, fisheries, mining, agriculture and horticulture.• Development and delivery of DPIs site consolidation strategy, which involved a complete analysis of DPIs service delivery model and its associated infrastructure needs. This was endorsed in April 2012 at executive and ministerial level and implemented from May 2012.

• The preparation of detailed briefings and reports for the Minister for Skills and Workforce Participation, Industry and Trade, Department of Treasury and Finance, Department of Premier and Cabinet and senior executives at Skills Victoria.• Development and acceptance of Skills Victoria’s Asset Strategy for a portfolio of over $2 billion.• Delivery of the detailed Aviation Training Victoria case for consideration by BERC, with supplementary reports for Site Selection, Schematic design, Commercialisation Strategy and Economic and Financial analysis.• The preparation of detailed briefings and reports for the Minister for Skills and Workforce Participation, Industry and Trade, Department of Treasury and Finance, Department of Premier and Cabinet and senior executives at Skills Victoria.

• In line with DEDT’s work to attract investment into Tasmania, I was tasked with identifying opportunities and encouraging reinvestment, assessment of project proposals by SMEs based upon program guidelines.• Innovation Insights: wrote a project proposal for a $25K grant, which took through the budget process. 12 manufacturing companies from Tasmania had involvement in the Victorian Insights to Excellence (i2e) which promoted an awareness of best practice in lean manufacturing.• Additional View workshop: with a grant of $10 000 for a pilot program for 20 SMEs who were in need of improving their on-line presence.
