Taught Project Lead the Way: Digital Electronics, PLTW: Introduction to Engineering Design, Metalworking I, Small Engine Repair, and Woodworking I & II. Throughout both years, I worked collaboratively to grow awareness about our programs, to increase enrollment of our programs, to strengthen and develop the existing curriculum in place, and to provide students with authentic, hands-on experience. Job duties also consisted of installing, maintaining, and repairing machines and equipment in our electronics, metalworking, and woodworking labs. During my second year with the school, I implemented and managed the Bass Fishing Club where we would participate in various competitions against other schools in the region. One of our two boats of students I had selected to participate placed second in the IHSA Sectional competition, qualifying for state.

Classes Taught: -Project Lead the Way: Introduction to Engineering Design-Woods & Metals Manufacturing (Woods I, Woods II, Machining I, and Machining 2)-Small Engine Repair.Responsibilities:-Further develop and strengthen curriculum currently in place by finding meaningful ways to make it more relevant to students' lives with the objective to fully engage them and open the doors to possible career opportunities of the 21st century work force. -Working collaboratively with colleagues to raise awareness of current courses provided by the CTE department.-Perform installation or necessary repairs and preventative maintenance to any machines and equipment in the machining, plastic molding, or woodworking labs in order to provide a safe and efficient work environment.Extracurricular:-Participated in a 1:1 Staff to student mentor program -Participated in the Parent Teacher Discipline Advisory Committee (2015-16)-Implemented and sponsored a STEM initiative club through Ten80 Education (Spring 2016)-Co-sponsored the HF Auto Club (Fall 2015)
