As Sustainability Director at BRIC, I collaborate with teams on healthy and sustainable learning environments. We employ multiple strategies from the earliest phases of planning, through visioning and concepts, design and analysis, construction, commissioning, and post-occupancy feedback. We actively engage with students, teachers, and the stakeholder team throughout. I also facilitate sustainability and building enclosure training and project support. With over 30 years of experience in architecture, building performance research, and education, I bring a broad perspective. I've worked on projects that vary in scale, construction type, and use, but show consistent attention to climate impacts (embodied and operational carbon), natural light and user experience, thoughtful building enclosure design, and holistic performance. I've also taught university courses on building enclosure design and present at conferences on sustainability and performance.
