Product Specialist - QA Lead for new product and or process test and evaluation. Provide technical support for Fit, Form and Function testing of DCM products. Train new operators program execution and results interpretation. Prepare and perform First Piece and set-up verification's. Resolve gage correlation and or function issues.Initiate methods of inspection, alternate gaging inspection procedures and propergage usage.Trainer –Interdepartmental Quality related training. Initiated and currently maintain, while developing the employee training procedure(s) and signoff documentation. Provide technical support related to visual, dimensional and functional quality matters. Proficient operation of all quality related tools, equipment, gaging and procedures. MRB Lead – Initiate and follow through QA Alerts and work with operators, Management, vendors and suppliers to resolve root causes, corrective actions and preventative actions. Initiated and currently maintain Non-conforming Material Log. Responsible for analyzing, dispositioning, archiving data and quarantine of non-conforming material daily. Focused on driving fallout below 2% and scrapbelow 1%.

• Material Review Board Lead. Reduction of MRB from 30,000+ to 800 parts in six months• Identify characteristics and establish methodologies for In-process, Receiving Inspection and Final Audit• Train Engineers, inspectors, lead personnel and operators in print interpretation, inspection methods.• Established methods for sorting non-conforming material.• Define key characteristics for inspection and establish inspection methods for First Article and Set-up Inspections• First Piece Inspections and inspection of Prototype components• Disposition non-conforming product, determine cause and initiate corrective and or preventive action• Mentor operators in problem solving and methods of inspection• Coordinate with Metrology Engineer to maintain calibrated equipment within the department• Programmed Zeiss Calypso, Brown & Sharpe PCDmis and Sheffield PCDmis co-ordinate measuring machines. • Plan, promote and organize training for Quality Management System • Serve as Management Representative for ISO 9001:2008 • Schedule Quality System audits and ensure that the audit plan is being performed in a timely manner and report results to the executive management team • Initiate Quality Control timelines and ensure these are being met and reported • Maintain calibration system. Plan and arrange outside sourcing for gage calibration • Write procedures, process flows, control plans and FMEA for new parts • Generate quality, production and shipping work instructions • Manage supplier base and issue corrective actions where defective material is received • Work directly with customer to build a strong working relationship • Program and operate Brown&Sharpe Coordinate Measurement Machine using PC-DMISto perform layout inspections utilizing CAD Models and basic layout techniques.
