After a career in roofing and construction, I was fortunate enough to earn an opportunity in roofing and construction sales and I have never looked back. My career journey has built a strong foundation in roofing and construction knowledge that helped me to provide the value needed to close in home sales presentations with property owners for premium metal roofing systems. After a couple of large catastrophic wind storms, in our normally retail roofing market, we saw a demand for catastrophe storm restoration projects in need of emergency mitigation repairs after sustaining wind or hail damage and full insurance claim management was paramount to properly fund their storm damage properties. The training, research, consultations and field experience I gained became the catalyst in advancing to Sales Manager and becoming an expert specialist of property damage insurance claims. I learned all storm restoration contracting practices and to negotiate fair claims settlements with insurance carriers to properly fund and complete restoration contracting work required to bring damaged properties back to pre-storm condition. I complete full forensic storm damage inspections on commercial and residential properties documenting in full spectrum and complete with a full digital analysis report to provide to insurance carriers and policy holders. Full project scope estimating in line item detail on Xactware's appraisal software Xactimate, which is an insurance industry standard. General contracting and coordinating sub-contractor crews of several different trades for storm restoration roofing and re-construction. I work as an independent property damage insurance claim specialist/consultant for commercial and residential properties. As a public insurance claim loss appraiser, I am assigned to complete unbiased third party loss appraisals as a disinterested third party on claims that the insurance company and the policy holder do not agree on the amount of loss leading either side to invoke the appraisal clause.
