My assignment was to establish an Engineering & Manufacturing Department to support CTI's development of Aerospace and Commercial products. The Company was a $3 million company with 4 engineers when I was hired. Established a 40+-person department (Electrical, Mechanical and Software) by identifying, recruiting and hiring talent the company needed. Worked with the R&D Program Manger's to get the correct engineering talent and provided functional management for the Engineering Department. Also, due to our size, served as the Program Manager for a 2.5 Million, design contract for NASA, as well as Lead System Engineer in the development of the first compact, modular Lidar system that is CTI's commercial product line (WindTracer) today.
