Established a 40+-person department (Electrical, Mechanical and Software) by identifying, recruiting and hiring talent the company needed. Worked with the R&D Program Manger's to get the correct engineering talent and provided functional management for the Engineering Department. Also, due to our size, served as the Program Manager for a 2.5 Million, design contract for NASA, as well as Lead System Engineer in the development of the first compact, modular Lidar system that is CTI's commercial product line (WindTracer) today.

I was also often called upon to lead technical "Tiger Teams" to help with instrument (payload) issues that were designated a top priority by executive management. Before this, I spent most of my time as Project Engineer or Program Manager on 3 jobs ranging from $500K to 6 Million. The initial 5 years at ITT were as design engineer that supported design, analysis, and production.
