I worked as a Plant Chemist for DSM Resins b.v. (nowadays AOC Resins) on the production location Schoonebeek. This location produces polyester resins for powder coatings as well as for composite resins. This job focussed on new product development, upscaling of new products, troubleshooting/problem solving for the production locations of DSM Neoresins+ worldwide and project management.One part of the job was being a project leader for the Business Support group working on solventborne alkyds, solventborne acrylics and amino resins. The other main part of the job was being a project leader for New Business Development activities focussing on the development of new high solids alkyd resins.

At AKZO Nobel Chemicals b.v. in Arnhem, I worked as a research chemist at the Innovative Resin Research department for the Business Unit Resins. Main research topics that I have worked on are:1: Fundamental study on chain transfer agents for solventborne and waterborne acrylic resins. 2: Developing new rheology modifiers (sagging control agents) for solventborne acrylic resins.
