I am a psychotherapist, or counselor if you prefer. I am licensed in Colorado as a Professional Counselor (LPC) and as a School Counselor per requirements of the Colorado Department of Education. I entered this helping field in 1995 after completing my Masters Degree from the Denver Seminary. Thereafter I worked as a therpist and clinical supervisor in both the private a public sectors of mental healthcare. The majority of this work has been with adolescents and families in residential treatment facilities. I have maintained a private practice alongside my agency work for the better part of fourteen years. This work has included general psychotherapy with children, adolescents and adults, as well as having a strong focus of marital therapy. In that area I have spoken at marriage retreats and been the featured speaker for a church in Idaho. In 2009, I took the opportunity to return to Denver Seminary and take the courses needed to add a School Counseling Endorsement to my resume. Since that time I have worked in a few different positions within school districts, primarily the Jeffco Public School District iin Colorado. Currently I am unemployed and considering my career options.
