I did not initially set out to be a programmer. An early interest in anatomical science impelled me to pursue a career in the medical field. However, with time, I was drawn to the allure of programming's analytical and problem-solving nature. For over a decade, I have had the privilege to collaborate with small private companies as well as major Fortune corporations. Each entity presented a unique process and challenge to conquer. Having had the opportunity to work in both greenfield projects and legacy software I have assumed roles of sole contributor or technical leader at various organizational levels. I have learned that even when a project is well planned and executed, improvement is always possible. One of the most captivating aspects of programming is that being a self-starter is not a hindrance. The resources and the community are vibrant and readily available, allowing anyone to delve into computer science practically free of cost. Programmers can share knowledge and give back to the community through open-source projects or by mentoring other inquisitive minds. In my spare time, I enthusiastically engage in both mentoring and contributing to open-source initiatives.Currently, I am immersed in the world of functional programming paradigms. Initially, transitioning from an Object-Oriented background made grasping these concepts challenging. However, I have discovered substantial value in harmonizing both functional and Object-Oriented paradigms, and the time I have patiently spent learning has yielded significant rewards.
