Support manufacturing lines to meet production requirements. Design, manage and install new capital equipment. Initiate and manage improvement projects for manufacturing lines. Create and maintain documentation pertaining to safe operation and maintenance of equipment. Participate in root cause analysis to reduce equipment downtime. Work closely with preventative maintenance staff to create maintenance procedures and replace obsolete equipment. Create, install and verify program changes for PLC, HMI, robot, vision, motor controller, and data collection systems.

Design, implement, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI controls for urethane processing equipment. Assisted in design and execution of electrical drawings. My activities include:• Primary designer on multiple PLC/HMI systems.• Interfacing controls with customer’s equipment using multiple communication protocols. • Interface with VFDs for closed loop control of fluid metering pumps for highly accurate material dispensing.• Support customers with changes to controls and upgrading of legacy equipment.

Assist faculty with reliability studies for a research contract sponsored by the Department of Defense. Conducted multiple Failure Mode Effects Analysis and Reliability Centered Maintenance investigations of various sub-systems for an advanced power generator. Developed an accelerated testing plan for a water handling sub-system. Created and maintained bill of materials and cost index for equipment and components used on the project.
