As a PwC-trained, CFA Charterholder and CA qualified international finance leader with extensive start-up, restructuring, investment, M&A and turnaround experience at demanding banking and investment management employers, I have developed a broad skillset, with the ability to build best practice finance functions from the ground up.Since starting my career delivering efficient audit processes for PwC at top-tier clients, I’ve progressed from a strong technical accounting foundation to develop the in-depth experience in both investment and finance, which has enabled me to provide strategic financial leadership for firms in South Africa, USA and the UK.Career highlights include partnering with an entrepreneurial CEO to build Atlantic Leaf’s strategy, finance and operations from a zero base at start-up to an established, profitable and meticulously compliant listed property asset management firm.In an earlier role at Ora Fund Managers, I brought the firm through two major restructures, navigating significant M&A transition and taking over finance and operations for a newly formed private equity group.Throughout my career, I have capitalised on dedication, hard work and the ability to use data-driven analysis to identify anomalies and drive value in terms of investment and financial performance. A core strength is in translating complex financial ideas for different audiences, presented in adaptable, user-friendly terms that match their level of understanding.
