Oversee the maintenance of fire alarm and security alarm systems for the campus and remote buildings under university control. Servicing systems and repairing deficiencies. Coordinating service work with vendors. Identify and mitigate any found hazards to fire safety systems on campus. Plan and coordinate all system tests and scheduled maintenance.

Inspect, test and service fire alarms for industrial and multi-family dwellings. Train co-workers and lead inspections, working with on -site representatives and customers. Safety lead for service division, administering safety meetings and training co-workers on safe work practices.

Respond to emergency medical aid calls, treat and transport patients to hospitals or other facilities as needed, in accordance with the presenting emergency. Respond to fire, rescue, medical and other emergency calls. Provide emergency medical care in remote areas 30 minutes or more from the nearest hospital. While on shift, I lead a crew consisting of 1-3 volunteers, responding to all emergency calls in our response areas, as well as in neighboring districts for mutual aid. The nearest support crew is at least ten minutes from our station, leaving me in command until chief officers arrive to relieve or supervise my command. Maintain apparatus, station and equipment. Schedule and perform regular training drills for fitness, fire and EMS skills with my crew during shifts. As shift lead and supervising paramedic, I am responsible for keeping accurate records of all schedule narcotics, their use and wasted medications. Installation of CCTV, security and access control systems. Installations require heavy lifting and carrying, climbing ladders, bending and reaching, pulling wire through long distances, sometimes through areas of heavy resistance, use of power tools and specialty electronic devices and observance of all job safety measures. Regular interaction with customers and other site contractors are a large part of project-management. Management and planning requires the use of a computer to track all inventory, program security systems and create data spreadsheets to help plan a long-term job schedule. This job also requires a Journeyman license in the states of Oregon and Washington. Site Supervisor for installation of security, access control and CCTV systems on federal facilities -This entails planning budgetary, manpower and scheduling needs, ordering needed parts and keeping cost reports of all expenses, designing and engineering the appearance and functions of the system and integrating the new installation into the existing framework of the building. Managing sub-contractors and technicians as well as ensuring work meets timeline and budgetary requirements.

Install, service and maintain fire and security alarms, access control and CCTV systems. Requires a training certificate in Oregon and Washington, and familiarity with local codes. Training as an apprentice in preparation to become a licensed Journeyman electrician. Position includes pulling wire through walls, ceilings, attics and crawl-spaces, climbing ladders and lifting heavy objects, bending, reaching, standing and walking for long periods of time. Program and test all installed equipment to perform to customers needs and manufacturers specifications. Position requires training and certifications for use of safety equipment, including hydraulic man-lifts, harnesses and industrial hand and power tools. Track inventory, keep accurate records of jobs completed, parts used and time spent on individual tasks, for use in billing and quality improvement.
