Highly motivated Technical Service Manager and senior service engineer with 6+ years experience in the medical imaging sector working for 3rd party companies across a range of modalities. Carrying out both preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure uptime is optimum for the customer. Alongside the on the job training I have also completed in house training courses on GE HDxt, LCC Magnet and Cryogenics, GE Innova (Cath Lab). The main focus of my day to day work in the UK involved GE MRI carrying out service, technical support, diagnostics and repair of the systems.I look to constantly grow my knowledge and experience within the medical imaging sector and strive for excellence. I find troubleshooting and repairing a rewarding job and I am proud to work within the sector I do, there is no better feeling than turning up to a system down and walking away knowing that the issue has been resolved and the customer is able to use the important diagnostic equipment. Following the completion of the Magnet and Cryogenics course I am eager to develop my skills and experience working with this integral part of the MRI system. Assisting with procedures such as Coldhead replacements, Helium compressor troubleshooting and Magnet shimming/ramping has helped me develop these skills.In summary, I am a medical imaging field service engineer hungry to learn and develop within the industry, I have a passion for the work I do, and I am always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that customer satisfaction and business requirements are exceeded.

By doing this I was part of a team installing the first digital PET-CT into the country and I was then assigned as lead engineer to maintain the scanner. The install base for UIH continues to grow in NZ with ImageSpace as the service provider.

My role within the company included carrying out planned preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs across multiple OEM’s and modalities, working to targets of 98% uptime for mobile units and 99% for static units. A key part of my role was to provide technical support to customers over the phone and where possible to remotely resolve the issue without an engineer visit. After completing the GE LCC Magnet Service training, I was driven to put my training into action and started by assisting senior engineers with magnet maintenance work, for example coldhead replacements, helium fills and compressor maintenance. -
