Providing technical support in workshop settings for students, academics and researchers. I am currently the lead technician in the blue room workshop in the school of engineering, keeping the workshop organised and safe for student use. My duties also cover manufacturing for academics, researchers and students. I also spend time supporting outreach, mentoring apprentices, maintaining the workshops equipment, providing organisational support and making sure all safety documentation is in order. Another critical role is inducting students into the workshop environment and making sure they have all the safety information needed for use of the workshop.

A multi-award-winning emergency response project to the 2020 COVID-19 PPE Shortage across the world. The Grassroots collective of hobbyists and industry specialists I bought together were able to provide over 180,000 face shields to front line workers in their hour of need.Initially, I was working alone producing 40 units per hour, covering Shields4Stockport and Shields4Manchester, however as others came on board we quickly spread to have major hubs covering Sheilds4Cheshire and Merseyside, Shields4KirkbyandKettering and other areas of the UK. Eventually bringing industrial factories on board we managed to achieve a manufacturing capacity in the network of well over 10,000 units per day. Face shields ended up travelling internationally helping to protect workers and ultimately save lives. Members of the Initiative have received Royal thanks and Awards related to the amazing work achieved by the Shields4 initiative.

As the sole technician, I provided support for high-quality teaching within the entire Technology Department. This involved the preparation of materials and equipment for practical work and coursework as well as actively supporting teaching and learning in the classroom. I supported both the four design workshop areas as well as the three computing labs. I was also in control of ordering, budgeting and machine maintenance, as well as organising a complete refit of the four workshops to ensure compliance with current regulations

User Support Technician; To provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to Students, Staff and Parents of the school. I also provided technical support to large scale drama productions and special events.
