  Commercial Bankruptcy Team Manager with BB&T Bankruptcy Section. Responsible for the operation of this Team, which includes overseeing case management for accounts that go into any of the 5 Chapters of Bankruptcy under Title 11 of the United States Code, as well as management and training of the associates on my Team who report directly to me, per appropriate BB&T policy and procedures. Provide performance feedback to BB&T Management for Commercial Bankruptcy Accounts. Monitor performance of associate direct reports monthly, perform Annual Reviews, and determine compensation based upon performance. Work with various departments on special projects, as needed. The Commercial Bankruptcy Team: 1) Supports any BB&T associate who may need assistance regarding Bankruptcy related matters. 2) Provides direct case management in support of various collection-based departments within BB&T. 3) Interacts and works with BB&T counsel in cases when necessary, to insure proper treatment of BB&T debt in Bankruptcy cases, or in the alternative, to get the automatic stay lifted to pursue collateral in state court, or other resolution of the debt. Also, participate in any bankruptcy related legal matter, as necessary to protect BB&T's interests and guard against loss. 4) Negotiates plan treatment in those Chapters that require plans of reorganization. 5) Provides loan modification guidance and support regarding court ordered modification of debt. My employment with BB&T spans 28 years, all performing Special Assets functions. In addition to many years specializing in Bankruptcy management, I have experience with collection of revolving accounts (credit cards, line accounts), retail loans, mortgages, commercial accounts, but specilize in management of legal processes, such as repossessions, foreclosures, Bankruptcy, replevins, and collection suits/executions. Additional responsibilities include serving as the BB&T Bankruptcy Section Safety Coordinator and Facilities Coordinator.
