I am working as part of a technical writing team at State Street, working closely with developers and business partners to produce internal and external documentation.During my time at State Street I developed the process which saw OAS 3.0 adopted as the standard, and a specification-first approach adopted as the method, for API development within our division. We have worked closely with the development teams to implement a standard structure within Confluence, so that each development teams content is produced to the same standard using the same structure.We are also working closely with the development teams to develop a documentation process that will automate as much of the documentation as possible.Documentation was written in AsciiDoc using GitHub Atom or VSCode, with the documentation stored in GitHub with the codebase for the application it referred to.
