After 12 very successful years with Atkins I have joined AM1 Projects to lead their new design business and support the company's existing Electrification construction interests supporting major Rail projects across the Southern Region.This position will allow for continued career development across design and construction disciplines in a growing business.

Having gained varied experience over an 20 year period I feel able to offer a broad base of skills across a number of disciplines.Liaising with the various functions across Atkins has given a greater knowledge of the best way to produce designs of a consistent quality.Gaining experience as both a project manager and DPE has given me a wider understanding of CDM, risk assessment and other management processes that are required to ensure compliance with industry standards and requirements.•Production of conductor rail and negative bonding designs.•Project Management of various electrification projects including management and maintenance of Wessex Area Comprehensive Track Diagrams •Design drafting of safety critical diagrams and project related drawings from Preliminary through to As Built stage.•Day to day management of CAD Design Team.•DPE for Network Rail on Sussex CTS installation project.•BBRL/Track Alliance: Lead Engineer for Central Line Conductor Rail Gapping Assessments.

Part of my remit was to roll out Microstation within the design office at Wimbledon to allow production of design drawings to required Network Rail standards. Having gained valuable site experience within the maintenance sector, I returned to Atkins as an ETE Design Engineer.

Electrification CAD Techician providing support to design engineers. Production of conductor rail, negative bonding and Comprehensive Track Diagrams to illustrate cabling and associated infrastructure across the rail network.

In the Drawing Office as an STO and quickly progressed to the role of PTO producing a wide range of drawings for design, information and safety critical purposes using traditional drafting and CAD techniques.
