With a robust career spanning two decades in the rail divisions of major mining companies in Western Australia, I have transitioned from an operator to advisory and specialist roles in logistics and workforce training development. My experience includes operational leadership roles, such as supervising daily front-line rail operations teams, serving as a Superintendent and Lead in both operations and functional service teams, and managing a Rail-based RTO as the State Manager in Victoria.Currently, I am working with two innovative companies. At Rapid Teachers, I support the Operations Services team, helping streamline the process of connecting schools with casual relief teachers through a unique application. Additionally, I am in partnership with Enivate, focusing on transforming training using innovative mediums. My expertise includes managing small to medium-sized projects, people, and teams.

Managing a dedicated team of Locomotive Drivers in day to day rail operations during a period of significant change as the business moves through its Mine of the Future program to Automonous based operations. Monitoring daily activites to ensure KPI targets are met, ensuring the health and wellbeing of the team is upheld, providing SME support to operational projects, leading in field recovery operations during failures and overseeing the development of team members are all important aspects of the role.

Worked primarily in the operational environment as a 2IC, Trainer and Assessor. Responsibilities included assisting the operations with in field based training and assessments activities, monitoring team compliance and providing support to the leadership team in a supervisory capacity.

Worked with a dedicated, resourceful and highly skilled team to meet training requirements within the Iron Ore Rail Division, Led a variety of projects, assisted in the development of new training tools, courseware, training manuals and conducted classroom based training.

Worked closely with the the Superintendent, Training Specialist and Training Coordinators to provide subject matter expertise for the development of training processes that support the Rail Division. Instrumental in the development of the training framework and tools currently used within the Rail Division at a level equal to or better than industry best practice.

Heavy haul mainline based train driver driving iron ore trains from mines across the East and West Pilbara in northern Western Australia to support production. Provided support to Rail Operations with training requirements and on various secondments to other roles including coordinator for Rail Operations at Cape Lambert before becoming the Rail Training Advisor for the Rail Division.

As a Locomotive Driver I was responsible for the safe operation of trains right across the Victorian rail network. Operational this included operating General Container Freight services and Grain Freight services using a range of Victorian Locomotives before moving to central Victoria to operate primarily Grain Services between Geelong, Melbourne and Northern Victoria. During that period I became involved in training supporting the training of Trainee Locomotive Drivers to become qualified to operate.
