  * Manages the Department of Defense Information Assurance certification and Accreditation Program (DIACAP) for The Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program (CAP). Provides the leadership for CAP IT to maintain certification for operation on the HA/TMA network. Makes sure all CAP IT including, web pages, stored data, executable programs, RDBMS, and servers and workstations meet the information assurance and computer security requirements. In addition access lists, fire walls, backup schedules, and encryption standards are maintained. Mr. Rew’s leadership ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of CAP information and telecommunication systems.* Leads the CAP portal project including requirements analysis, application design, development, and implementation. Making use of an iterative software engineering model for requirement gathering, prototyping, and module implementation into production. Provided maintenance and change management of the existing RDBMS and web user interface during the parallel phase.
