Teacher of physics for years 9, GCSE and A-Level for AQA.

Trainee teaching experience at 2 secondary schools in the Newcastle area one of which was special needs. Gained considerable working knowledge of lesson planning and imaginative pedagogy for science education with a specialism in physics.

I worked for Insignia as the sole tester and authority, initially assessing the fitness for purpose of existing test case material and from there to develop a library of test cases with supporting documentation for all server side and client hosted products.Tasks Summary:* Preparation for yearly company audits and review for any associated QA documentation that encompassed test related processes.* Onsite shadowing of radiographers, PACS managers and radiologists to derive a more representative set of working practises and application oriented use cases for test case updates and development.* Providing site user feedback to the Development team and advising them of any obscure defects and key enhancement items for future release consideration.Experience & Development:* Taking sole responsibility as Insignia’s test authority and point of contact.* Approving and signing-off many project release phases for existing server and client based applications but with newly applied functionality. Key examples of newly developed areas that I tested and provided test approval for included: - 3D image navigation and analysis- encrypted image data media creation and interrogation- secure image study sharing across hospitals within a trust. (Cross-hospital study sharing would enable sites to share resources and call upon specialist radiological experience from consultants further afield in the event of limited expertise locally).* Developed a broad understanding of UX via evaluation of user interface layout and some of the menu/screen navigation limitations encountered during test releases.* Gained an awareness of Agile related testing practices in response to the release demands set by the Development team.* Used Seapine TestTrack for entering all test cases, test executions and identified defects with corresponding test solutions.

Joined CSC as a supervised test team leader and was assigned to work at Zurich finance in Swindon. Lead several test phases for delivery of an underwriting engine for online mortgage applications.Experience Development:First experience as a test team lead and within that role steered an 8-strong team to scheduled completion of 3 test phases of releases. Useful experience developed with working to the demands of a pressing go-live date.Developed skills to work with various areas of the business through regular meeting attendance and day-to-day interaction between personnel and other test teams within a wide project consortium. Developed daily proficiency with test progress report writing for my line and project manager with updates on the collective and individual efforts of my assigned test team members.

Joined EDS as a test executive assigned to a project overseeing the maintenance and functional enhancement of a suite of interactive applications for armed services training and evaluation. The role presented the opportunity to derive a full set of test cases for a previously unscripted application.Later Defence sector projects extended my responsibilities to include full derivation and development of system requirements additional to my role as a test executive.Experience Development:Authoring and execution of test cases.Execution and closure of system defects from developer authored tests.User Requirements derivation and evaluation.User to System Requirements translation and re-evaluation.

Joined IBM with a joint assignment as a junior developer and configuration manager for a security cleared project located at The Old War Office Building, Whitehall.Later projects opened the opportunity to pursue testing at the system and application levels with the Defence sector.All projects were based up on secure information entry and interrogation.Experience Development:Secure C++ server programming with SCO UNIX.Configuration Management principles and attendance with UNIX.Security awareness and execution of secure protocols.Visual Object BASIC test tools for scripting and execution of automated tests.Automation testing principles.Delphi visual object Pascal.
