Mr. Rodriguez has supervised and performed a diversity of valuation, appraisal and consulting engagements, including the valuation of public utilities, IPP's, complex manufacturing and industrial facilities, commercial buildings and residential apartments. His experience includes both domestic and international transactions. These valuation advisory assignments were performed for appraisals, market valuations, purchase price allocations, cost segregation studies, litigation support, project financing, transactional pricing, and for taxation and management reporting purposes. Specifically, these transactions included the valuation of tangible assets, intangible assets, and goodwill; purchase price allocations for tax and financial reporting including compliance with the ASC 805, Business Combinations, (Formerly FASB Statement Nos. 141, 142, 143 & 144). Currently, power in Panama is predominantly supplied by oil and hydroelectric means. As the first coal-fired generating station in Panama, the Prothermocaribe facility will provide much needed diversification of energy resources to the nation.In addition to providing diversification, the technology employed at the Prothermocaribe station will yield low levels of emissions. Today, pollutant emissions are a great concern worldwide. CFB technology allows more complete combustion than other forms of coal generation, and inherently produces lower emissions.Pending certain development milestones, construction of the facility is expected to be completed by January 1, 2012.
