With the continued certification of a BRCGS grade A accreditation for manufacturing direct food packaging management certification we are perfectly set to grow the business, we have also expanded our production area to in excess of 53,000 square foot of space to allow for new machines to produce new product lines such as, printed papers, waxed papers and large sheeting contracts. My goal for the business now is to ensure we obtain new business to fill all of our machines and cement our position as a very bespoke company in a large and competitive industry.

With the recent acquisition of a BRC grade A accreditation for manufacturing direct food packaging along with ISO:9001 Quality management certification we are perfectly set to grow the business, we have also expanded our production area to in excess of 25,000 square foot of space to allow for new machines to produce new product lines such as, printed papers, waxed papers and large sheeting contracts. My goal for the business now is to ensure we obtain new business to fill all of our machines and cement our position as a very bespoke company in a large and competitive industry.

My role at lockwells was to develop existing customers as well as bring on board new business to help to get the branch out of a loss making sittuation it had slumped into with previous direction. Along with the sales my job was also to ensure the branch was running to the best of its abilities both with deliveries and accounts to ensure customers were happy to give us repeat business and also make sure we got paid within the customers individual terms. Upon leaving employment with Lockwell the coventry branch was in a position where it was achieving a profit somemonths but no less than break even.

This role was the general day to day running of the business including everything from organising the van for deliveries, taking and making sales calls, processing the orders, performing the accounts work such as chasing money, posting payments, and keeping an eye on the profit margins though the generation and use of management reports. As the business grew more staff joined the team and it then became my resposability to ensure all the staff were working together and meeting the targets set in our monthly meetings. Along with these day to day tasks i was also in charge of the project management of the Energy Efficient Lighting Range of products for large warehouses, this involved all aspects of my skills as I not only generated my own sales for this product I was also in charge of co-ordinating the purchase, supply, install and commisioning of all the projects throughout the company, It was my task to ensure that delivery schedules were in place and met by suppliers, and that all the relevent paperwork and site inductions were complete with engineers before the planned start date. Once the install was complete I then had to visit site to set light levels and commision the fittings to the customers individual requirements along with the onsite team.

Look after existing and develop new customers for all products within the business. Supplying small local accounts such as florists and potteries to large multi national accounts such as FCUK, Next, Tesco and others. With a sales team in the office of 3 people and commisioned sales agents out on the road it was also my job to co-ordinate sales meetings with the sales team and the agents as well as attend meetings with the agents to ensure they were representing the company in a proffesional way that adheared to the company's mission statement.
