Enjoyed a 35 year career with Bunge Canada and its predecessor companies (CanAmera Foods, Maple Leaf Foods, Canada Packers) earning promotions to positions of greater responsibility until retiring from Bunge Canada having achieved the position of Vice President, Operations. A proven leader with excellent teambuilding, strategic and operational planning skills with extensive experience in facility operations, project development, project execution and transitioning large projects to full production. Champion of safety, quality assurance and productivity. Exceptional problem solving, troubleshooting and incident investigation skills. Responsibilities have also included general management, supply chain management and commercial P & L.Served as Director and Chair of the Canadian Oilseed Processors Association and the Canola Crushers of Western Canada. Held director positions with Neptune Terminals in the Port of Vancouver, Oilseed Innovation Partners (formerly Soy 20/20), Hamilton Industrial Environmental Association, Fort Saskatchewan Regional Industrial Association, and the Canola Council of Canada. Currently a member of the Eligible Project Selection Committee with Protein Industries Canada (Supercluster) and was a member of the nominating committee for the Board of Directors of the Hamilton Port Authority, Member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, and is a graduate of Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, 1979.
