Unit Controller (Panel Technician) via DeltaV/DCS Panels with Cascade MPC controllers.Duties additional to those of Process Technician:• Utilities Panel UC o Instrument Air generation o Water processing and recovery o Boiler Operation - Waste heat and gas fired o Power Generation via steam turbines and gas turbines• CSP Panel UC o Crude Stabilisation, raw gas condensate recovery and water separation. o Slug Catcher control and Trunkline Pigging. o Reciprocating Gas Compression for flare gas recovery.• CO2 Train UC o Steam Driven Turbine Pumps and Power Recovery Turbines o Benfield extraction of CO2 and H2S from raw gas to produce sweet gas. o DPCU (dew point control) of sales gas and regeneration gas compression. o SGMS (Sales Gas Metering Station) distribution of Sales Gas, supplying according to customer nominations and balancing supply and demand by utilising reinjection/withdrawal facilities. • Liase, co-ordinate and communicate Emergency Response activities within the Moomba Plant according to the Moomba Plant Emergency Response Plan.• Optimise plant parameters to meet customer demand, minimise waste and operate within critical operating parameters according to operating procedures.• Commission Plant and Undertake CFTs to ensure safety compliance.

Process Technician.• Operating and problem solving within a process environment for safe start-up, shut-down and operation of plant and equipment.• Performing higher duties such as Unit Controller and Shutdown Supervisor.• Workplace Assessor and Trainer. • As an Area Operator and Permit Authority (Hot Work / Cold Work / CSE) ensuring that all plant activities and operations are conducted in accordance with Santos EHSMS policies and procedures. This includes the use of correct safety equipment, permitting requirements and effective isolations.• Participating in HAZOPs, along with JHAs and risk assessments. I represented my shift as Deputy HSR.• Creating, reviewing and using operating procedures for the safe start-up, shut-down and operation of plant and equipment.• Monitoring equipment and undertaking routine and minor maintenance, raising service requests to instigate repairs as necessary. Sampling for lab analysis.• Logging changes to plant operations for hand-over records.

Senior Wireline Operator.• Following HS&E requirements to ensure the safety of all personnel and the environment. This was further encouraged using the Stop system and step back 5x5, along with JHAs.• Working within a team as a crew chief, under the direction of an engineer to rig up and run:• Open-Hole logging tools (including radioactive isotope, resistivity, acoustic, core and formation pressure sampling tools, back-offs and chemical cutters/severing tools)• Cased-Hole operations (completions (explosives), setting packers and cement bond logs).• Rigging up pressure control equipment to the well head and running a skid unit for grease control.• Training new personnel in the tasks to be undertaken by a wireline operator in a safe and correct manner according to Baker Atlas operating procedures and standards.• Working in an often-extreme temperature and remote location.• Working alongside and in coordination with other oil and gas industry employees.• Navigating and driving logging trucks and 4wds to remote locations.
