I re-joined Speakerbus Technology in September 2017 as Production Manager. My role included Managing the following Departments; Purchasing, Good-In, Dispatch and Sales Administration. Manufacturing is contracted out. I looking into updating our ISO9001 2008 to ISO9001 2015.In 2019 I changed role to Mechanical Design Manager reporting to the Operations Director to get into Production two much waited for exciting products this year. Using Solidworks I managing the CAD models from Industrial Stylists, obtaining 3D Prints and pre-production Silicon Tooled models then managing the hard tooling ensuring the designs are correct for production with the Project Manager. I was responsible for all mechanical and assembly documentation for the projects.In 2023 I reported to the Production Manager and was in charge of Dispatch, Goods-In and Stores.From 2024 I've reported to the Project Manager. I've been using Solidworks CAD to generate visual concepts, 3D Prints and First Offs on exciting New Projects for release in 2025.

Using Redux current suppliers and my own suppliers (from UK and China) I purchase parts for the production of models and small prototype quantities saving money and hitting dead lines. As the Company Quality Representative I was tasked with achieving ISO9001 2015 Registration from scratch. (Achieved March 2017) writing the Business Quality Manual and Company Procedures. I carry out internal audits and external audits on suppliers. I set up and Manage a Mechanical Parts Stores system, Goods-In and Dispatch departments. I take an active role in preparing the company for ISO14001 registration if and when required by a customer. Reviewing designs of fellow Senior Mechanical Design Engineers and Junior Engineers I followed up the Design and Development of Castings, Mouldings and Pressings in China. Ensuring lead times for tooling are adhered to and the production parts are to drawing. One third of my time was spent in China where I had an office at GISH (Globalinvacom Shanghai) the assembly plant where the assembly of LNBs, PCBs and associated equipment took place. I used Solidworks CAD to update and control designs. From GISH I visited suppliers to Manage Tooling Progress ensuring lead-times were kept and also audited the suppliers during my visits and instructed the purchasing team on raising order. In the GISH factory I assisted with jigs, fixtures and testing of components.Employment ended after a second round of redundancies were required because of a falling order book and collapsed share price.

I took requests from the Sales Team to generate Special One off and Low Quantity Commercial Water Meters. I had to judge if the requests were viable and accept or reject them. I generated all details in Excel and AutoCAD.

Working alongside the Mechanical Design Manager we designed and detailed all products from concept designs from our Industrial Stylist. These included mouldings, castings, Sheet Metal, Cable Looms and the Assembly Drawings for the in house Production Department. Inspection of Models from our Model Makers to ensure designs were good prior to investment in Tooling. Some Manufacturing came from China but much came from local companies. All design work was completed using Solidworks 3D CAD.

Reporting to the Department Manager I was tasked with completing Design and Development of Retail Products. All developments were produced using Solidworks 3D CAD

Design Office Desks and Storage solutions.Time and motion study on the factory shop floor.European Coordinator, between sister companies.Managing all staffing issues, and was the Departments quality representative.Employment ended after a second round of redundancies.

I reported to the joint proprietor to Concept and Design EPOS Terminals for the Hospitality Market , along with Back Office Computer Housings and Printers. Most of the Manufacturing was done by local companies, with whom I worked with closely to obtain quotations on new designs. The units were assembled in the in house Production Department. I managed all the Drawing Office activities covering Concept and Design of new products, Assembly Drawings for the Production Department and all Post Design Documentation.Employment ended with redundancy when company restructuring from Checkout Computers to Xn.

Working under the direction of the Drawing Office Manager and Mechanical Design Engineers I produced Detailed Piece Parts and Assembly drawings.Employment ended by redundancy after the company was purchased for it's Network Division.

I worked on a couple of Military Projects reporting to the Drawing Office Manager produciog Detailed Parts and Assembly Drawings, under the guidance of Senior Draftsmen.

Working with instructions from the Drawing Office Manager and working with Senior Draftsmen I produced Detailed Part Drawings and Assembly Drawings on a Drawing Board.Employment ended after forth set of redundancies due to a falling order book.

Started Saturday working aged twelve years old (which was e legal. I got 52 1/2 p for five hours work) as a Back of Shop 'Yard Worker'. I worked up to be the 'Head of Yard', then to the Cutting Room preparing the meat. On Holidays I helped maintain the Sheds in the Yard and the proprietors second House and Garden in Billericay.
