• Assisted with initial restaurant set up – including interior decisions, setting up the menu and wine list• Manages ‘front of house’ operations – organises rosters, delegates tasks, ensures OH&S• Hiring, firing and training of staff – trained 40 ‘front of house’ staff over a 2 year period• Stock control to the value of $10,000 per week – includes spirits wine and partial orders for the kitchen• Marketing and promotion – manage the restaurant’s social media pages (Facebook and Twitter), organises radio advertising and coupon deals with group buying organisations (e.g. Living Social)• Organises functions for up to 150 people – including tickets, food and drinks• Customer service – greets, seats and serves customers and troubleshoots as required
