I come from a family of entrepreneurs and grew up gaining an insider’s perspective on the needs of small businesses. After completing my Bachelor of Applied Business Administration at NAIT, I entered the world of public practice with Romanovsky & Associates LLP and went on to earn my letters as a designated accountant (CMA) in 2012. In 2017, I moved into a management position within the firm, where I remained until my resignation in December 2018. At that time, I made the decision to continue my family's tradition of entrepreneurial endeavors and cofounded Breakaway Chartered Professional Accountants LLP with my business partner and friend, Brendon De Haan. Professionally, it is my core belief that accounting professionals have so much more to offer beyond simply preparing financial statements and filing tax returns each year. I look forward to building collaborative relationships with clients, utilizing cutting edge accounting technology, and provide good old-fashioned expertise.My areas of expertise are focused around personal and corporate tax, trust taxation and compliance, as well as strategic tax planning and financial management for individuals and small to medium-sized, privately-held businesses. When I do break away from the office, my passion is music. I’m a singer and a guitarist, and you can catch my band performing regularly in and around the Edmonton area.
