This page is a summary of my decade plus in the tech for good industry that hopefully conveys what I believe to be my professional calling: Helping nonprofits change the world through improving technology, people and processes.After five years specializing in selling to, and supporting, groundbreaking nonprofit peer-to-peer fundraising tools at Blackbaud, I joined GoodUnited, a tech startup helping nonprofits connect with supporters on social.As the third full-time employee I helped GoodUnited go from less than $300k in annual revenue to over $10m. During that time we helped over 100 nonprofits raise over $1 billion on social media to cure diseases, save those at risk of suicide and self-harm, feed hungry children, save cats and dogs and other amazing causes. I've taken over multiple teams, processes and projects from channel and direct sales, to customer success, account management, partnerships, etc. in order to create repeatable processes to grow and scale nonprofit-serving businesses.Now I am co-founder and principal consultant with Constant Method, a business consulting firm that supports the tech-for-good industry. Our associate account executive team was responsible for selling software training, data-enrichment software, consulting services and peer-to-peer fundraising tools to existing Blackbaud clients. I supported teams across all revenue levels from emerging groups to enterprise sales and was primarily responsible for on-boarding new associates, continued training and education, pipeline management and forecasting. In addition to creating an amazing sales culture, I was responsible for hitting 117% of our sales goal in 2019 - closing over $372,000 in monthly recurring revenue in a high-profit margin portion of our business. -
Everydayhero Channel Sales ManagerBlackbaud Jul 2017 - Sep 2018Charleston, South Carolina, UsI was responsible for driving sales of everydayhero, an SaaS peer-to-peer nonprofit fundraising software platform within the Blackbaud General Markets Group. As a sales overlay for 95+ reps, I was responsible for a $2.4 million budget in 2018. In July of 2017 I inherited a product with a small ASP struggling to gain foothold in the larger General Markets Group, tasked with increasing the average sales price and finding larger opportunities for custom services. In 6 months we increased everydayhero ASP from $1,721 to $2,206 and taking services revenue from 15% of overall sales to 28% of sales through a targeted sales representative education and empowerment strategy. By April of 2018, ASP increased to $3,420 and services made up more than 50% of total sales. In that same time span, sales from our Core market outpaced our Emerging market for the first time in product history. -
