Responsible for managing the IT infrastructure for production web sites in two datacenters and the corporate office in NYC.

Leading the core network upgrade project utilizing new Cisco 9922, 7609 and Nexus 7K series switches. The project was completed on time and on budget.

Responsible for managing two datacenters and the North American operations team with a budget of $2 million. Web sites were swapswire.com, Markit Trade Manager (mtp.markit.com) and Markitserv Portfolio Reconciliation (portrec.markitserv.com). Managed the DBAs, Network Engineers and System admins responsible for the servers, networks, databases, security, DR Testing, change control and 200+ servers in two datacenters.  Consolidated from three to two data centers – Managed a data center move from 3 datacenters into 2 new datacenters. This project included purchasing new server and network hardware, new OS and DB installation, QA testing, business signoff and a cutover weekend. Outlined and detailed a project plan to systematically move the systems to new datacenters. Performed presentations to senior staff detailing the system configuration and interconnects. Negotiated and resolved many issues to create the most efficient merger plan of systems and datacenters and executed the plans successfully. Budget of $3m. Used Oracle 11G RAC, HP blades and servers, Cisco Nexus, Checkpoint, F5 network equipment, VMWare and Netapp for storage.

Operations Process Improvement – Implemented ITIL based processes to improve the Operations and Development of a major intranet website (200,000+ users) based on n-tiered architecture (Oracle 10 RAC, Websphere, Webseal, VMWare, Remedy, ClearCase, BMC Patrol, SUN and EMC).Created Service Level Agreements (SLA) for measuring the performance of a 3rd party vendor providing J2EE code development, helpdesk, and server hosting.

- Provided Technology Leadership – Successfully planned and managed the migration of General Motors Asset Management’s (Manages $170B in assets) data center and operations from New York to new sites show-casing a thin client model (Citrix) framework and robust disaster recovery capability. Utilized CMM level three methodology (SDP-21). Budget of $4 million. Identified Cost Savings of 10% on the project due to my experience with SAN, database, and replication infrastructure. Created IT Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) and successful failover testing of the datacenter. Created Information Security Policies (ISP) and increased security by providing application access controls, Entry/Exit Policies, firewall rules, penetration testing, OWASP vulnerability scans and email retention for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404) compliance.

 Managed the Operations team responsible for the design and operation of 8 eBank environments comprised of Production, QA and Development in three datacenters and 200+ servers.  Led the Bank One and JPMorganChase internet banking infrastructure merger - Represented JPMChase and identified synergies and gaps for the combined end state infrastructure. Outlined and detailed a roadmap of projects to systematically move the systems to new datacenters. Performed presentations to senior staff detailing the system configuration and interconnects. Negotiated and resolved many issues to create the most efficient merger plan of systems and datacenters. Architected Twenty Minute Remote Site Failover – Built a new Datacenter for disaster recovery containing the production backup site. Designed and implemented the databases, server builds, SAN, replication, performance testing and firewalls. Documented and tested the fail over procedures and processes. Program budget of $15 million.
