Mark is a native of Houma, La, and he graduated with a degree in Marine Biology from Nicholls State University in 1973.Mark began his career in the insurance Industry in 1975 and shortly thereafter joined Allstate Insurance Co. In 1980 he became an independent agent writing commercial and marine insurance in the Oil and Gas Industry. In 1990 he sold his 5 million dollar book of business and moved to Augusta, Ga.. After 6 years doing primarily Life insurance and Financial Planning in Augusta he entered the mortgage industry as a sub-prime loan officer and account representative. He won numerous Sales awards including top sub-prime account rep. with Saxon Mortgage in 2000-2003 and top sub-prime loan officer nationally with SunTrust Mortgage in 2005 and 2006. After the collapse of the sub-prime mortgage market in 2007 Mark worked for Chase Mortgage and then Wells Fargo Mortgage until Augusta of 2008 at which time he re-entered the insurance industry. In Feb of 2009 he became affiliated with American National Property and Casualty Company as a multiple lines agent writing personal home, auto, life and other insurance products. He is now the President of CSRA Insurance Center, marketing insurance products through American National as well as several other insurance carriers.Mark has been married to his wife Debra for 44 years and has 6 children and 16 grandchildren. He is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and is a full covenant member of the Alleluia Covenant Community in South Augusta.
