• Manage full Binding Authority Management function, from receipt and upload of bordereaux through to analysis and reporting to clients.
• Act as Credit Control Manager for JMD Services, a division of R&Q Insurance Services.
• Manage a team of fifteen staff whose duties are to effect credit control of overdue premium and binder bordereaux management for various clients.
• Manage credit control of inwards premiums for Open Market and Facilities and Treaties (including Binders) business.
• Act as Client Executive meeting with clients to review accounts and develop systems.

• Manage the credit control of reinsurance debt in line with agreed Client Service Level Agreements.
• Identify and manage the aged debt by contacting brokers and/or reinsurers as appropriate.
• Handle reinsurance disputes in a professional manner with referral to applicable authorities as appropriate.
• Manage relationships with external experts as applicable to each case and within agreed terms of engagement.
• Represent the R&Q Reinsurance team on internal and external committees as required.
• Ensure delivery of all reporting within the prescribed timescales as defined in the applicable Client SLA.

• Identifying, collating and aggregating all relevant claims affecting SPAL and applying these to the reinsurance programmes for recovery for the core business units of Marine, Aviation and Global Property.
• Producing monthly reports of all paid and outstanding claims on a gross and net basis.
• Managing a department of four technicians.
• Overseeing the correct recording and maintenance of losses to ensure adequate reserve.
• Full production of reinsurance recoveries utilising existing systems.
• Conducted a full analysis of accrual movements on a monthly basis.

• Responsible for managing a team of 3 staff, dealing with all aspects of reinsurance and credit control, as well as acting as general office manager.
• Identification of all inwards claims for reinsurance purposes, either excess of loss whole account, facultative reinsurances and quota share treaties.
• Maintenance of both Personal Accident and Professional Indemnity reinsurance programmes.
• Responsible for all reinsurance collections, on a collection note and loss bordereaux basis, as well as special settlements.
• Full credit control of all P.A. and P.I accrued items following submission of collection notes to brokers.
• Liaised with brokers, supplied reports where required and generally dealt with any queries, which facilitated the prompt settlement of reinsurance claims.
