I am a partner with Cassiday Schade LLP. I am a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the DuPage County Bar Association. My home office is located in Naperville, Illinois. I am a trial attorney with experience in handling litigation in numerous counties, including DuPage, Will, Kane, Kendall, Grundy, DeKalb, LaSalle, Kankakee, Winnebago and others. I concentrate my practice in the areas of medical malpractice defense, nursing home defense, veterinary medicine defense, premises liability, construction law, and condominium law. In the area of medical malpractice, I have defended a number of hospitals and physicians. The types of medical specialists I have represented include: internal medicine, emergency medicine, orthopedics, cardiology, plastic surgery, radiology, anesthesiology, obstetrics/gynecology, family practice, nurse practitioners, general surgery, dermatologists, physical therapists and others. I have given presentations to hospital nursing staffs to assist in their understanding of legal issues and avoidance of malpractice claims.In the area of construction negligence, I have represented general contractors, subcontractors, and independent contractors in wrongful death and personal injury claims. I have defended a broad array of cases including: roof collapses, water infiltration, mold claims, gutter claims, slip and falls, roofing accidents and other hazards associated with both residential and commercial construction. I have also represented several condominium associations in legal disputes over condominium governance and breach of duties. I have tried 13 cases to verdict over the past 14 years. I have a passion for adoption, being an adoptive father. I periodically act as an arbitrator in DuPage County and have judged local high school mock trial competitions.
