Technical lead for ORION SMS, a BT account Platinum Plus system. Successfully transition of the application software support to CSC India Resource Center. Forte technology is used to develop BT Order management and provisioning system which is one of the major BT systems for this account. Technical lead in migration of web application to Weblogic 7.0 portal. Implemented InputProcessors for webflow. Utilized webflow tag libraries for Portal request within JSP. Setup and administrated development portal for unit testing. Developed deployment procedures for integrating test and production environments. Systems integration of a large distributed Forte application. The areas involved included creating an API for the Forte backend (exposed through CORBA), a midtier EJB which accepts requests in XML and responses to those request in XML, and JSP pages which make request to the midtier engine and display the data. Developed an email utility on top of the O'Reilly JavaMail, which greatly simplifies adding email functionality anywhere within a distributed application. Created a custom class that constructs a Base64 stream from either a file or byte stream which makes adding attachments to email a breeze. Error handling code was also enhanced to ensure that the email is sent even when invalid emails addresses are present.Application Activity reporting using Coldfusion. Development of an Object Model that describes the data in used in the Telecommunications industry. Created a DTD that defines the structure of XML, which maps to the Telecom Object Model.Extensive use of SQL for the purpose of data analysis.Provides Production support. Being on call for Production off-hours needs.

Worked on a team of about 20 engineers developing a Forte application for scheduling satellite activities. During this time, I initiated the OOM techniques of re-factoring and code re-use, which eliminated a substantial amount of duplicate code. One of six developers who created a Forte application witch controlled satellite antennas. Coded a manager for the distributed system that registered asynchronous tasks and controlled whether certain tasks could be run at the same time or not. Wrote Forte/Java code using CORBA for connectivity for a distributed application developed by team of about 6 engineers. I was breaking new ground here because no one else in the team had connected Forte and Java processes before.

Manually checked integrity of satellite control-code, which was subsequently loaded to spacecraft. Used initiative to persuade the manager that certain manual checks could be instead checked by software. Coded a lot of the manual checks myself. Wrote C code to enhance an application used to model satellite antenna footprints.
