This position involved developing technical training courses and assisting in the development and delivery of new model training. After 12 months I was offered a permanent position as Masters Program Manager. This position involved developing and implementing the Mazda Master program which is a tiered training structure to achieve Master level, Senior level and Technician level technicians throughout the Mazda dealer network. I have developed and conducted two national MazTech competitions, which involved technicians competing in an online theory test and then if successful they compete in a state practical contest, diagnosing faults within a vehicle. The winners go onto a national final which consists of both practical and theoretical tests. In 2008 I was invited by Mazda Japan to participate in the Global MazTech competition as one of their judges.During my time at Mazda I have been able to build a firm relationship, respect and trust with the technicians and the Service Managers within the Dealer network. I have also worked closely with the FMT’s and the Technical and Warranty departments to gain a better understanding of training needs.Develop KPI’s for the technical training in regards to the number of technicians per dealership who should attend training and achieve a level of the Mazda masters program.

I successfully developed and delivered the first and second year curriculum to the Chrysler dealer network. Other duties included the development of new model training and delivery of technical training to the dealer network.

Apprentice and Pre-Apprenticeship trainingThis position involved teaching apprentices from 1st year through to 3rd year levels and teaching students in a pre-apprenticeship program. These students ranged in age from 15 through to 25+.
