I am a photographer/cameraman with an international multifaceted experience of more than 20 years in the business. My education and training took place in and around St.Petersburg, former Leningrad. I graduated from Leningrad State University with an MA in liberal arts, was trained as a cameraman and photographer at the Lenfilm studios, workplace of many celebrated film directors and cinematographers of Russian film. As a New York commercial photographer I worked primarily in still life, including a series of issues of "In Flight Duty Free Shop “magazine as well as in several in-house publications. My portrait work was published by such important periodicals as : The New York Times, Newsweek, Jerusalem Post etc and on book covers of such major publishers as A.Knopf and Dodd Mead and Co. As a fine art photographer I participated in one group and eight personal exhibitions in New York, Connecticut and St.Petersburg, Russia. Two of my shows were featured in local press and TV as well as in New York Public Library publications and St.Petersburg art magazine "Na Nevskom". In addition to still photography my experience includes motion pictures cinematography for two feature films and a list of shorts, documentaries and commercials. The most recent ones are two documentaries on Russian emigre literary giants: Sergei Dovlatov and Joseph Brodsky. Lately I have been seriously engaged in writing fiction.
