Christian author and educator, Gene Edward Veith, wrote: “… the Christian life is to be lived in vocation, in the seemingly ordinary walks of life that take up nearly all of the hours of our day. The Christian life is to be lived out in our family, our work, our community and in our church. Such things seem mundane, but this is because of our blindness. Actually, God is present in them—and in us—in a mighty, though hidden way.”For me, this ordinary walk of life involves a beautifully diverse and complex family of 14 children and almost as many grandchildren at this point, an intriguing role as the International Team Lead for an Army Project Manager, and service to my church and community.I am grateful for every day that I have to live out this calling and to delight in Christ my Savior and King.
