Military Occupation Specialties (MOS) training consists of Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) qualification, Phase II technical Non Commissioned Officer Educational System (NCOES), sustainment and transition, and Functional course training.Regional Training Site - Maintenance Headquarters: Provides overall command, control, and administration, and supervision to execute established policies and standards pertaining to performance, care, conduct, appearance, safety, personnel management and training of officer, warrant officer and enlisted personnel who attend the RTS-Maintenance.Responsible for the instruction of U.S. Army Soldiers in the 25S10 Satellite Communications Systems Operator Maintainer Reclassification Course; instructs students in unit and direct support maintenance, on satellite communications equipment, and associated devices; conducts stressed and unstressed network operations; performs quality control tests on circuits, trunk groups, systems, and ancillary equipment; installs, operates, performs strapping, restrapping, PMCS and unit level maintenance on COMSEC devices; teaches installation of tactical satellite antenna equipment;operates and performs planned maintenance on assigned communications equipment and vehicles.

I was a Sergeant First class assigned to the First Sergeant (1SG) possition for six years. This command supported the headquarters company of Army Space and Missile Defense Professionals. The 1SG provides trained and medically ready forces to augment and provide surge capabilities to the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command / Army Strategic Command and Joint Functional Component Command for Integrated Missile Defense. Duties include managing, tracking and reporting all aspects of administrative, training and medical readiness. Responsibilities require the 1SG is to be responsive and coordinate with multiple commands; the Army Reserve for force management, Space and Missile Defense Command for Army Service Component and Space Professional management, Integrated Missile Defense for manning our nations missile readiness in coordination with Northern Command, Strategic Command, joint and international partners for U.S. strategic requirements.

Provides technical assistance to subordinates engaged in the operation and maintenance of satellite communication systems. Identifies and reports electronic jamming and deception, and applies appropriate electronic countermeasures. Performs complex and multifaceted tasks associated with stressed and unstressed network operations. Supervises and performs alignment, control functions, and direct support maintenance on assigned communications equipment. Ensures backup equipment, spares, and repair parts are available to sustain system operations. Compiles system and network statistics for reports.
