I am proud to be Head of Sales & Partnerships for Picniq, an online, things to see and do platform that sells tickets to visitor attractions, events, theatre and festivals to our wonderful UK family audience. I have worked in tourism for nearly 20 years, and I love working with Visitor Attractions and helping them increase visitor numbers through their gates as well as more revenue. I've worked and continue to work with some of the best places to go in the UK.Yes, I am a salesperson, and my friends may call me Del Boy, but that is more to do with the legendary Del Shannon than Del Trotter! I build my relationships around trust, honesty and a genuine desire to deliver great results for both my clients and my employer. Working in long-term partnerships is the way to go, especially in tourism.I am constantly looking and listening to what is going on within tourism so I can share knowledge to peers should their ask or need advice.Away from work, you’ll find me:- Walking the dog, listening to a podcast, in search of a cheeky flat white- Playing cricket and then groaning about how much I hurt for the next 3 days- Cheering on Liverpool and hoping VAR doesn’t rob us of a goal- Reading and reviewing books, pah….who am I kidding? I’m more likely too lazy and end up watching Netflix or iPlayer- Moaning about NYTimes for choosing a stinker of a Wordle!- Negotiating with my son for him to do his chuffing homework- Procrastinating on Tiktok, mainly viewing, but occasionally making, thinking I will go viral and only once managing it!
