Police Lieutenant (Acting)

Safely operates a motor vehicle during day and night time hours and in all types of weather to monitor personnel and events taking place in assigned district. Stands, sits, walks and drives for prolonged periods of time. Qualifies with a firearm. Takes emergency law enforcement action to preserve and protect life and property. Subdues, arrests and detains violators, and when required, performs any/all tasks of a police officer.

May be assigned to similar supervisory duties in other functional areas of the Police Department such as tactical operations and court liaison. Safely operates a motor vehicle during day and night time hours and in all types of weather to observe and supervise subordinates through the Police District. Stands, sits, walks and drives for prolonged periods of time. Qualifies with a firearm. Takes emergency law enforcement action to preserve and protect life and property. Subdues, arrests and detains violators, and, when required, performs any/all tasks of a police officer.
