Mark Sherman is a Director of Cyber Security at Dewberry. He possess expertise in network security, computer security, security, firewalls, vulnerability management and 25 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "I worked with Mark for around five years at SAIC and at Leidos. Part of the time I worked as a Tier 1 security analyst while he provided Tier 3 engineering support, and the other half I was under his lead as part of the Leidos Cybersecurity Engineering Team. All work provided MSSP services for a diverse group of federal and commercial clients. Mark is one of the strongest overall network security engineers I have ever met. His technical skills in network security engineering span a variety of technologies and products due to his involvement in so many special projects. He has headed projects that have optimized SIEM deployments, MTIPS architecture, UTMs and NextGen firewalls, and everything else that a network security engineer deals with in most large corporations. What I admire about Mark was his ability to see things clearly as a team lead. He has a lot of common sense and aptitude which allows him to understand situations quickly adopt a logical solution. It is also convenient that he is very technical. It has always been easy to get on the same page as Mark as a SIEM engineer or security analyst and he is great to have on calls and in meetings because he has an umbrella of experience and always seems to push the most logical solution. I also think Mark brings out the best in people as a team lead. He tries to make people work together, bond together, take a moment and share ideas, and can get the most out of some people because they feel like they owe him. He always seems to get the most done and be the most productive. You have a lack of excuses to slack off when your superior is so productive, logical, and works hard. He's a really great guy to work for. it was a pleasure working with and for Mark Sherman. Given the right resources under him, he can do amazing things as both an engineer and team lead.
