My role includes setting runs for three lorries. I am also responsible for the health and safety in the heavy side yard, and making sure the branch is complying to Freight Transport Association , the FORS GOLD program and to make sure all the lorries are kept legal.The most important part to my role is keeping the working time log for all the drivers and vehicles up to date and making sure we are complying to the Freight Transport Associations rule book. which keeps us legal with the Vosa group.I have also taking on a sales role, in which I have to take sales over the telephone and serve customers who come and visit the branch. A big part in this role is chasing business and pricing customers for the materials they need, this includes processing quotes and arranging deliveries direct to the customers site.
