Bradford Environmental Action Trust (BEAT) is a charity with the aim of improving the health, well being and the environment of people in the North of England centred on Bradford. We have had projects on Energy Conservation through the Warm Homes Project with Bradford Council and the Swatha Ancient Woodland Project based in Silsden sponsored by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Currently we have projects including the Forest of Bradford with its aim of planting one million trees in the Bradford District and the Real Nappy Project promoting the sustainable use of reusable nappies.
