Participated in Agile development sprints and writing end user documentation for upcoming software functionality. This documentation was meant for both internal business use and inpatient healthcare professionals, with an estimated base of 2300 users.Followed UPMC's internal documentation style guide to maintain a consistent level of readability and standardization of techniques.Converted all existing end user documentation from Microsoft Word files to an HTML content solution using MadCap Flare. This allowed us to integrate better analytics to track user interactions with the goal of eventually developing context sensitive help. Wrote process documentation for the rest of the documentation team to become familiarized with MadCap Flare and hosted tech demos as work progressed.

Created annual and quarterly reports for clients and provided support for live document releases. Compiled documentation, created visual aids, and designed layouts of reports, ensuring consistency with clients’ style guidelines. Highlights include: Worked with a long running client known for extreme attention to detail, devised and implemented a print solution that made it possible for their annual report to be published on time following a printer error. This fix was implemented within the week it was developed.Developed visual aids and graphical representations (tables and charts) to assist in communicating financial reports/ financial status of client companies to their shareholders. Created multi-page InDesign layouts mirroring client-branded style guidelines. When necessary, completed re-made client assets (i.e., using Inkscape/Adobe Illustrator to turn blurry JPGs and PNGs into vectorized graphics).Wrote process documentation, style guides, and implementation documentation for clients to reference when working independently. These guides contained screenshots, callouts, explanation tables, and ranged from in-depth tutorials to high-level overviews and reduced the number of support questions from client users.

Learned all aspects of traditional games publishing, developed play-test mockups, and worked with lead a producer for war games. Highlights include:Worked on a team tasked with designing a store demo kit to help promote a game, worked on designing a scenario that would allow unfamiliar players to rapidly gain an understanding of the game.Copy-edited and revised rules, manuals, and component copy of games in development to ensure consistency and clarity of language. Provided design input for the visual layout of the documentation of the games Runebound 3rd Edition and Fury of Dracula.
