Whilst my family was still based in Malawi I was schooled at Rossall, Blackpool, UK, where I completed 5 “A” Levels. After leaving school I worked at Barclays Financial Services in Leeds for several years before emigrating back to Africa to work in Zimbabwe. Whilst in Harare I worked for 3 companies over the 6 years I was there, namely a Security Company, a Clothing Manufacturer and a Gold Mine. I became extremely proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook & Teams whilst learning various other software programmes such as AutoCAD, Radan, QuickBooks & Sage and climbed up a huge learning curve with regards to gaining experience and knowledge of how such businesses were run. With good work ethic, diligence and commitment I was quickly promoted and at the end of my time in Harare I held the position of Operations Director in charge of a workforce of 1,500 employees.I returned to the UK in 2001 and had various jobs in a variety of sectors in London before returning to my roots in the North of England.
