I have practiced as a wealth advisor in the Gallipolis, Ohio area and surrounding counties for 37 years. I started with The Ohio Company based in Columbus, OH in May of 1981 after managing the family farm equipment and truck dealership in Pomeroy, OH for nine years. During my career I have been blessed with the opportunity to help many clients and friends as they planned for children’s education and their own retirement as well as various other life goals. There is little that compares with the joy and satisfaction of seeing a client’s dreams unfold, and knowing that if even in some small way you have contributed their success. My passion for retirement planning has led me to a specialty in that area. Nineteen years ago I made the commitment to become certified in the area of retirement planning. In March of 1999 I earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation through the College for Financial Planning.. I practice as a member of a wealth management team under the name of Smith Financial Advisors of Hilliard Lyons.
