I joined GOOD Inc as an intern after graduating college. Over the summer I developed software for a smart pet feeder. Using 3-D printing and together with a team of other interns, I wrote the code that brought a machine to life which will accurately dispense pet food according to a schedule you can set from your laptop or smart phone.This involved building a variety of digital subsystems from scratch--a backend Java service to manage schedule information, a self-contained updating tool (largely in Python), accurate sensors to report and respond to mechanical failure, low-level WiFi management and access point control, not to mention simple web interface and database design.

Makesend was a short-lived 3-D design and printing service. I was responsible for developing and managing the full-stack web application behind the service: order confirmations, instant communication between designers and clients, e-mail tracking, image and 3-D model uploads, invitation systems, etc.

I design electrical and mechanical systems responsible for the dilution refrigeration of super-cold Helium-3, used in an experiment that is looking for the axion particle, a particle proposed to resolve the Strong CP problem in QCD. I also write computer code in several languages to control, monitor and analyze these systems.
