With the help of the employees, we cleaned and I taught them proper customer service. I walked the neighborhood and heard both good and bad comments. Within six weeks, we had customers coming back and sales increased. I have heard from several customers as to how clean and well stocked the store is and more welcoming.

I began employment as department manager for Lewis Southgate video department. Myresponsibilities included maintaining the photo lab, ordering, merchandising, customerservice and general training of department employees, photo lab operations, video rental,ink refilling, and proper handling of money. I was required to be on call evenings andevery weekend for the store. Then I was promoted, adding to my duties the role of photolab technician. This included being responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of photolab equipment, and inspection of the photo lab areas throughout the companies 13 stores that have photo labs.
