Responsible for all of Aon Hewitt’s client negotiations, contract negotiations, resolution of contentious matters, compliance and best practice support, new product research and support, E&O resolution, and compliance support; reduced several multi-million claims, including claims and accompanying threats to terminate all future business.

Provided legal support for all outsourcing services and led 29-person unit composed of transactional, ERISA, and employment law attorneys supporting $2B outsourcing division; member of Outsourcing Leadership Team.Partnered with the business to resolve multiple settlement demands with stressed client relationships in the HR BPO business (the total annual recurring revenue for such clients was a 9-figure amount); avoided settlement payments with all such clients except one. Negotiated, or led team that negotiated, benefits and HR BPO agreements with Fortune 500 clientele; ensured negotiation and review of appropriate provisions to avoid future troubled contractual relationships, contributing to reduction or elimination of future large HR BPO claims.

Led ten-person unit of three attorneys, five paralegals, and two administrative assistants, responsible for negotiating HR BPO, benefits outsourcing, and consulting agreements with Fortune 500 clientele. Served as lead negotiator for complex HR BPO and benefits agreements. Developed strategies to improve processes and provisions for HR BPO negotiations, resulting in less time to complete deals, reduction in risk, and avoidance of scope enlargement.

Negotiated complex HR BPO Agreements, Benefits Outsourcing Agreements and Consulting Agreements; developed organizational approach to privacy regulations (HIPAA) and ensured compliance with such regulations.

Engaged in the financing of various capital projects and refinancing of prior security issuances benefiting health care entities through the conduit issuance of unregistered tax-exempt securities. Participated in various other matters, including litigation, antitrust document production, environmental research and mergers and acquisitions.

Various sales positions with a distributor and fabricator of steel, aluminum, copper and plastics; independent responsibility for a $6 million district.
