Plant Director

I was hand selected by the Executive Vice President of Operations and regional Director of Operations to single handedly assemble a team and bring a new facility on board in a remote area of SD. Five years into my tenure I was also promoted by the Executive Vice President of Operations to oversee and turn around a poorly performing international facility in addition to maintaining my current plant performance. Within two years, performance and production issues within the Canadian plant were in line with corporate goals and expectations. During the 2020 pandemic, I was approached once again by the Director of Operations to take on our third largest facility in a turnaround capacity. Within one year, staff was reorganized, business streamlined, capital for automation justified and integrated, along with implementing a positive safety culture and forward thinking environment. Key responsibilities/achievements:• Manage and develop a team of 6 managers, 2 Supervisor, and 30 plant production employees.• Communicate and build relations with major customers while maintaining a less than .05% customer claim.• Directly responsible for establishing and maintaining an operating budget of 25% and greater EBITDA.• Instrumental in implementing a recruiting program that resulted in over a dozen new employees for the company from four top engineering schools across the country.• Bring safety to the forefront by developing a culture built on behavior rather than systems to reduce overall TIR.• Create a culture with emphasis on team work, respect for others, and pride.• Use developing techniques to grow plant personal and core staff that will engage them in the overall company goals.• Oversee and direct operations of international facility, setting expectations and goals to be in line with company vision.
