For over a decade I have been practicing, coaching, and documenting parkour and freerunning as a dedicated member of the San Diego Parkour community. I took several advanced film classes as a high school student at Canyon Crest Academy and at Carleton College and have implemented skills acquired from this study in my efforts to generate content for my own profile and for the community at large. I have instructed parkour at numerous different gyms in San Diego and elsewhere, including elite action sports training facilities Woodward Tahoe and Woodward West. In the summer of 2019, I received the Woodward Tahoe Hard Work Award for one of the weeks I was working as a coach/counselor. This was a huge honor, and to me it is a symbol of the progression culture and community that is one of a kind at Woodward Tahoe. The mindset there is entirely focused on bettering the individual and working together to do so. This community of collective growth inherently brings everyone’s spirits up, and no matter where I have worked in this field that attitude of bettering oneself through challenge is what keeps bringing me back.I have previously worked in the food service industry, as a sports videographer, in childcare, and in electrics and carpentry building set pieces for theatrical performances. In all of these different areas, I have had to adapt to new challenges and learn diverse and intricate skill sets to perform the jobs effectively. Having dedicated much of my life to training parkour as well as studying philosophy, I am no stranger to completely reinventing myself in order to become a better version of myself, whether on the job or in life more broadly.
